Removing content and DMCA notices

Last reviewed

Why nothing is stored here to delete

Gramhir hosts no Instagram content. A lookup requests the public profile as it is at that moment, the page displays it, and no photo or video stays on our side. The viewer also has no setting that hides a single username or post, so we cannot carry out a request to block an account.

How content comes down

Whatever changes on Instagram reaches every viewer, this one within about an hour at most.

  • If you own the account: delete the post, story or account, or set the profile to private. Once the content stops being public, Gramhir stops showing it within an hour at most.
  • If you hold the rights: report that post in the Instagram app or through the IP report form Instagram provides.

Notices sent to us

We reply to copyright notices no later than 48 hours after they arrive. Email contact@gramhir.net with “DMCA” in the subject. A complete notice contains:

  • the work you believe is infringed;
  • the URL where it appears;
  • how to contact you;
  • a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act for them.

If something is missing, we will ask for it rather than reject the notice.

What we remove ourselves

Text, images and design created for gramhir.net are ours to change. After a valid notice about them we correct or take down the material and confirm in writing. When the notice is about Instagram content, our answer describes the two routes listed above. If you believe something came down by mistake, email a counter-notice with your details and reasons to that same address, and we forward it to the original claimant.
